Nicolette’s art practice is a richly layered exploration of material, emotion, and meaning in the form of printmaking, painting, drawing, collage, stitching, and embroidery. Her largely self-directed journey reflects an ongoing curiosity about process and the expressive potential of diverse media. Due to her continuous experimentation, her work reveals a compelling interplay between technique, texture, and emotional resonance.

Over time, Nicolette’s practice has evolved from representational imagery toward a more abstract and intuitive visual language. Using mixed media, she creates works that offer glimpses into her inner emotional landscape, inviting viewers into spaces that are both deeply personal and universally felt.

“I view creative expression as both a profound gift and a deeply spiritual practice. For me, art is not simply a personal endeavour, but a meaningful collaboration with my Creator. My work highlights the magic in the mundane, captures moments that resist easy explanation yet resonate on a visceral level, and explores the liminal spaces between the seen and unseen, the tangible and intangible,” she says.
