As a child, Rufus was deeply comforted by a painting she visited regularly. This powerful painting inspired her journey towards becoming an artist.

As a self-taught, lifelong artist, she aims to express the significance of the life adventures that shape us and, in essence, write our life story.

Her dramatic landscapes represent a meeting place between the magnificence of our physical world and the deep mystery of our psyche, a place where the Self exists in both realms.

The ever present bird in her work symbolises guidance and the Spirit’s Song that can be heard in all realms – the voice of intuition and grace.

Rufus works in oils, ink, words, story, music, myth and mixed media. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and exhibits extensively with others. Her work is supported by local and international clients.
