Open Studios Kommetjie has grown into a widely anticipated event in the local art calendar since its inception in 2019.
Each December, artists open their studios for three days of fine art, conversation, and connection.

Event features
Main Hub
We host a Main Hub in Kommetjie during the Open Studios Kommetjie event weekend. Here visitors can collect a printed map, see examples of the different artists’ work, and plan their studio visits.
Featured Artist Programme
Every year, through our Featured Artist Programme, a selected artist or creative brings a distinct perspective to the event. This person is invited by the Steering Committee to share work that expands the conversations taking place across the studios. Learn more about our past and present Featured Artists here.
