As a child, Rufus was deeply comforted by a certain powerful painting she visited regularly. It was this painting that inspired her decision to become an artist whose paintings could lift people from their troubles. 

As a self-taught fine artist, she still pursues this aim today. 

Her dramatic landscapes represent the magnificent grandeur of the physical world, the deep mystery of our inner realms, and the places where we find our Self within both.

The ever present bird in her paintings is symbolic of the Spirit’s Song that can be
heard across all realms — the voice of intuition and grace.

Rufus works in oils, watercolour, ink, story, music, and mixed media. She has had numerous solo exhibitions and exhibits extensively with others. Her work is supported by both local and international clients.
