After earning her National Diploma in Photography, she spent over a decade working in magazine publishing as a picture editor and designer, refining her eye for narrative, visual composition, and emotional tone.

Based in Kommetjie for years now, Odette creates personal photographic series that explore themes of identity, memory, transformation, and emotional stillness. Her work is often autobiographical, drawing from inner experience and inspired by nature, motherhood, and the quiet intensity of everyday life.
