Caryn McArthy is a daydreamer who observes life around her in shapes and colours. For the majority of her life, she painted pictures in her head by observing, recreating, and imagining everyday scenes. It is only recently that she started placing oil on canvas to capture these fragments of her world — how they have influenced and moulded her into the person she is today. 

Caryn is fascinated by the wonder of small, everyday moments, particularly after having spent a year dabbling in the world of flowers. She found these moments not only in arranging the blooms but also in delivering them to those in need. To the mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, friends and lovers. For loss, for love, for forgiveness, and for celebration. Witnessing these private special moments has influenced her greatly as an artist. The need to capture beauty is a necessity for her, a constant reminder that even though the world may be crashing and burning around us, we can still leave behind our own stamp of exquisite beauty.
