Meet the Artist

Self-taught artist and printmaker Mariëtte Momberg has been practicing full-time since 2018. Prior to pursuing a career in art, she worked in Academia and as an Osteopath. Momberg works predominantly on paper to create colourful and emotive works. Her works are in private collections, both international and local.

Momberg’s current art practice centres predominantly around printmaking, which she often uses in conjunction with other mediums such as embroidery, acrylic and watercolour. Passionate about the environment, she strongly feels that creative efforts should make a conscious effort to minimise environmental impact. For this reason, she use water-based mediums in her art making and strives to maintain a low-toxic and environmentally considerate studio.
